Medical Billing Specialist Follow Up

We are a high volume medical billing company located in New Port Richey, FL. Our company is seeking a team player with knowledge and experience handling insurance follow-up for multiple practices and specialties.
Job Responsibilities
o Follow up with insurance companies on unpaid insurance claims for Medicare and commercial payers
o Process insurance appeals
o Review denials and claims to identify issues related to billing and reimbursements
o Process electronic and HCFA 1500 claims
o Payment posting
o High volume patient phone calls
o Handle correspondence related to patient accounts
Job Requirements
o 2
years of medical billing work experience.
o Knowledge of ICD-9 (ICD-10 a plus) and CPT coding
o Strong understanding of modifiers
o Ability to submit insurance appeals for Medicare and commercial payers
o Ability to communicate effectively with insurance carriers to resolve unpaid claims
o Ability to read and explain EOB's
o Ability to multi-task and prioritize
o Excellent communication and customer service skills.
o Experience with electronic and HCFA 1500 claims submission.
o Intergy, Encoder Pro, and MS Office experience a plus.

Position is available immediately. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:
00 a.m. - 5:
00 p.m. Benefits offered after 90 days.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
