The Medical Support Specialist - BH provides support for medical providers by obtaining vitals, assisting with treatment planning, assisting with patient assistance program applications, completing outcomes, patient messages and authorizations.
The Medical Support Specialist conducts face to face visits with patients and receives medical and mental health records.
This role may be responsible for screening the patient for TMS, obtaining prior authorization for treatment, providing daily treatments for TMS patients and all appropriate documentation and coordination of services for the TMS program.
The Medical Support Specialist will work closely with the medical provider assessing patients for TMS services to coordinating services.
Qualifications:
Certifications and Licensures Required Driver's License State of Florida Required BLS (Basic Life Support) Education Required High School or Equivalent Preferred Associate's Related Field Experience Required 1 year Medical Office Preferred 6 months Substance Abuse Preferred 6 months Mental Health Specific Skills Required Medical terminology use and understanding Required Knowledge of regulatory standards appropriate to position Required Work with minimal supervision Required Computer skills appropriate to position Required Organizational skills Required Administrative and clerical skills Required Interpersonal skills Required Operate a motor vehicle Required Work with a team Required Written and verbal communication skills Required Critical thinking skills Required Customer service skills.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
